Destruction in slow motion

The film 22 Mei follows security guard Sam, whose monotonous world is turned upside down by a bomb blast at his shopping mall. He soon realises that his reflexive efforts to aid the struggling victims are in vain, as he is as powerless as they are in the face of such destruction. This despairing realisation causes him to flee the scene but in his head he cannot escape the horror.

22 Mei is the second film from director Koen Mortier, following his debut Ex Drummer.
We undertook the colossal task of completing post production required for the stunning slow motion finale to this film.

22 Mei premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is now being shown in theatres across Belgium.
