Mirror of aggression

N=5’s creatives Ed van Bennekom and Jasper Diks came up with a really cool idea to integrate unknown bystanders into an extreme aggressive situation, where they are confronted with their inactive behavior towards violence to public servicemen. Luckily for us, our friends at WEFILM asked us to help them out with the realization of the technical side of the shoot. Matching the preparation between the real and staged footage.

The staged videos were directed by Roel Welling and shot on a blue screen stage. Camera positions were matched closely to the exact spots that were found after an extensive reconnaissance. In post we created alpha layers for the realtime composite, replaced backgrounds, graded and matched the CCTV’s footage.

The campaign was rewarded with a Bronze Lion in Cannes.
